Plans for the future?

In terms of the future, should we plan for it or do we just say let the Lord’s will be done?

I strongly believe that our Lord and Savior has a plan, a purpose for each and every one of our lives and that is confirmed in Jeremiah 29:11-  “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Philippians 1:3-6 says “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,  always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy,  for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now,  being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

With the number of verses in the bible, there’s clear evidence that the Lord has us covered in every aspect, from past, to present to future.

Proverbs 19: 21 says “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.”

I do believe that planning for the future is a simple human thing to do. But with knowledge of the Lord’s words, we should take heed, thinking only about the plans and purpose of our lives through Christ and given by Christ.

I leave you with the Lord’s words so that you’ll decide to choose God and his wisdom above all else- Galatians 5:17- “The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.”

Be intent on serving the Lord in everything that you do. Be content in consulting him before you make any plans, and everything you do will be blessed.

God Bless you.
